And considering that I did it on five hours’ sleep (or less, I was too tired to take an accurate count), I did very well indeed.
I no longer feel short of breath when I tally the number of days remaining until Christmas.
Mom, Token Sister and I headed to the Big City to do some major Christmas shopping today. It was a very successful venture. So many sales! So many affordable treasures! It was difficult to stay focused. I was shopping for others, after all. (It would be hard to explain to the hard-working husband why you spent all his money and still have to shop for everyone else because you bought yourself all kinds of fascinating and beautiful things…)
I did splurge and buy myself two treats. How could I not? They were such bargains. My new warm mulled cider scented candle will be like Starbuck’s for my nose this Christmas, and my new cozy knee socks are practically massaging my feet and calves as we speak. I’m a tall girl and knee socks that really go to my knees are a rare find. Let’s hear it for Tallgirl!
This tall & tired girl can’t afford another five-hour night. If I go to bed immediately I may even get seven hours. That would come in handy, considering tomorrow morning will be busy with Sunday School and practicing for tomorrow night’s Christmas concert, a potluck with the fam at the Homeplace and the concert itself. I could use ten hours, but I’ll have to take what I can get!
love this new setup! i do wish we had made it to starbucks on saturday. how did we forget??
The template is nice – looks like “country coffee”. Glad your shopping was successful. Last Monday we went to Toys’R'Us to start and finish the shopping for the kids (in less that 2 hrs!). Let me tell you, it was nice to get it done! I need to stay away from the stores and immediately recycle the flyers when they come in the mail – I get so tempted, but the kids really don’t need any more “stuff” for Christmas.
